2025 Delaware Home Education Convention Speaker Guidelines

Thanks for thinking of joining us!

The 2025 Delaware Home Education Convention will see homeschool families from across Delaware and surrounding states convene to grow in their homeschool maturity, which includes hearing from relevant and engaging speakers. To best serve our attendees, Tri-State Homeschool aims to fill our limited schedule with the most positively impactful mix of home education-related voices. Tri-State may select or refuse speakers to avoid duplication of similar topics or to promote the best use of time for convention attendees. Tri-State reserves the right to refuse any speaker application with or without comment for any or no reason.

Speaker FAQs

Who are the attendees?

The attendees are as varied as the homeschooling community. They are mostly from Delaware (but could also be from Pennsylvania, Maryland, New Jersey and New York). Most are Christian (but not all). Most tend to be mothers, but dads and families also attend. While there is a wide variety of homeschooling experience, most tend to be on the newer end of the homeschooling timeline and are either just starting to homeschool or have been doing so for less than 3 years.

How long are speaking slots?

Scheduling slots are planned for one hour, which breaks down into:

Speaking: About 45 minutes

Q&A: About 5-10 minutes

Transition time: 5-10 minutes

Are sessions recorded?

We are in the process of coordinating session recording capability. This may or may not take place.
